Authenticity is fundamental to everything we offer at Bagistry Heritage.

Before a pre-owned handbag is made available for sale, it is carefully reviewed against brand-specific details including construction, materials, hardware, markings, stitching, proportions and other identifying characteristics.

Our aim is simple: to offer pre-owned luxury with clear information, thoughtful assessment and confidence at every stage of the purchase.

Our Authentication Approach

Different fashion houses use different materials, construction techniques, hardware, markings and production details. For that reason, every handbag is assessed individually rather than through a single checklist.

01 — Overall Construction

We review the shape, proportions, structure, craftsmanship and construction of the handbag for consistency with the relevant brand and model.

02 — Materials & Craftsmanship

Canvas, leather, lining, stitching, glazing and finishing details are examined for quality and consistency.

03 — Hardware & Engravings

Clasps, zips, locks, buckles, chains, rivets and other hardware are reviewed alongside engravings, fonts and finishes where applicable.

04 — Brand & Production Details

Depending on the brand and age of the piece, we examine relevant stamps, serial information, date codes, microchips, labels, manufacturing details and other identifiers where present.

Condition and Authenticity Are Different

A genuine pre-owned handbag can show signs of previous use.

Scratches, patina, softened leather, hardware wear or other age-related characteristics do not automatically affect authenticity.

For clarity, Bagistry Heritage assesses condition separately from authenticity.

Good — visible signs of use while retaining its quality and character
